Arts & Technology Saturday Program (Gr. 2-9)
Youth Enrichment / Multicultural Arts -
Students will participate in multicultural visual and performing arts through virtual learning. Activities will include drawing and painting, puppetry, creative writing, digital technology, as well as dance and music traditions from a variety of cultures, including African, Chinese, and Latin American. Classes are taught by certified teachers and professional artists and include special presentations by visiting performing artists. Parents are invited to share their child's experience during a closing presentation on April 24 at 11 AM.
The program is funded through the CT State Department of Education with the support of the Farmington, Hartford, New Britain Public Schools, and Plainville Public Schools.
- Supplies are included and will be distributed to students before the start of the program.
- Internet access and a computer or Chromebook with a camera and microphone are required for each participating student.
- Instruction will take place through Zoom. Students will receive an email containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.
- Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
