Drawing Cats
Adult Enrichment / Art, Games & Hobbies -
Winter/Spring 2023
Learn drawing skills and techniques for creating a beautiful drawing of a cat! Tips on creating the illusion of soft fur, bright whiskers and expressive eyes will be covered. Students will create several sketches and create a drawing of a cat. Cat subject tbd.
Recommended materials:
- Drawing paper (min. 60lb)
- Graphite or Charcoal Pencils– an H, 3B, & 5B. (instructor will be using Charcoal for optimum viewing)
- kneaded & vinyl erasers
Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email from Farmington Continuing Education containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.

Instructor
New England Artist, ShawnaLee Waterbury-Kwashnak, has been drawing and painting her whole life. ShawnaLee specializes in pet and child portraiture and has been instructing art classes for more than 2 decades. She is skilled in a variety of media and is a board member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists.
