Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement
This three-session course is designed for retirees or those planning to retire within the next 5 to 10 years. You will learn strategies to generate steady income, protect assets, reduce taxes, and secure a comfortable retirement for you and your spouse. The seminar covers making the best use of your employer’s retirement plan, evaluating lump-sum distribution options, and reducing estate taxes through proper planning. You will also learn about annuities, Social Security, Medicare, and asset allocation to align your investments with your objectives and risk tolerance. A spousal guest can attend at no cost with registration.Please note, there is no guarantee that the strategies discussed will result in investment success, as investments are subject to market risks, including potential loss of principal. Get ready for an exciting adventure in science with our third installment of FUN SCIENCE! This 3-week class invites junior scientists, both new and returning, to dive into the fascinating worlds of chemistry, astronomy, and physics through engaging hands-on activities. Put on your lab coats and goggles as we explore the wonders of our Earth and the universe, experiment with force and motion, and watch as our (safe) mixtures react. The course fee includes the cost of supplies.

The Coder School: Minecraft (Ages 8+)

Get Started at The Coder School! For a lower, per class rate, sign up for this class through Farmington Continuing Education. After registering with FCE, continued registration will need to be with The Coder School. Using the Minecraft Education Edition students will solve code and go through lesson plans such as planets, pandas, saving the polar bears, and more. Students will learn the X, Y, and Z coordinates, along with variables, conditions, loops, and more. Come join the fun! For ages 8+ only please. All equipment and accounts will be provided at the Coder School. For ages 8+ only please. The Coder School will provide all needed hardware for this course.

The Coder School: Python (Ages 10+)
STEM
Learn the fastest growing language out right now, used by Google, Instagram, and Netflix! Learn how to draw shapes and create designs using the turtle library. Learn about if then statements, loops, variables, and more. Come join the fun! For ages 10+ only please. All equipment and accounts will be provided at the Coder School. The Coder School: Scratch and Robotics (Ages 7+)

Using the platform scratch developed by MIT and block coding ‐ create advanced games such as a solar system, Mario platformer, and much more! Learn about loops, variables, x and y coordinates, if and then statements, and more! Students will also use the mBots to code robots to move around using block coding. Come join the fun.
