101 Geopolitics, Economics, Technology and Investment (GETI)
Financial & Retirement
The world is shifting fast—driven by great-power competition, supply chain disruptions, AI breakthroughs, and major energy transitions. Yet most adults only encounter these forces through scattered headlines. This nonpartisan course offers a clear look at how global geopolitics, economics, technology, and financial markets intersect—and why it matters in everyday life. We'll explore how U.S.–China–Europe tensions reshape trade and jobs, why events in places like the Red Sea or Taiwan Strait affect prices at home, and how technologies like AI, semiconductors, and clean energy are shifting global power. Participants will learn to interpret the news with more clarity, understand key regions and alliances, and connect global trends to real-world issues like housing and retirement. The course is: * Non-partisan and educational. We study geopolitics, not party politics. * Respectful and discussion-driven. Participants are encouraged to share perspectives, ask questions, and connect material to their own experiences. * Future-focused. Our goal is not to predict the future precisely, but to help you think more clearly about possible futures.
