This three-session course is designed for retirees or those planning to retire within the next 5 to 10 years. You will learn strategies to generate steady income, protect assets, reduce taxes, and secure a comfortable retirement for you and your spouse. The seminar covers making the best use of your employer’s retirement plan, evaluating lump-sum distribution options, and reducing estate taxes through proper planning. You will also learn about annuities, Social Security, Medicare, and asset allocation to align your investments with your objectives and risk tolerance. A spousal guest can attend at no cost with registration.

Fran joined Valenti Wealth Management in 2013. He started in the financial services industry in 2000 and before joining the firm, he was with Merrill Lynch.
Fran received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL. He earned his MBA from Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Simsbury, CT with his wife and two sons. Fran’s life-long hobby has been hockey, which he played professionally in Switzerland.

Joan is adept in both the wealth accumulation and income distribution phases of retirement and regularly teaches classes on retirement planning and hosts semi-annual education seminars.
Joan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Baldwin-Wallace College and obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College of Financial Planning. She holds her insurance license and FINRA registrations 7, 63, 24, and 65 through LPL Financial. Active in her community, Joan is a member of the Retirement Board of Directors for the Town of Farmington and the Advisory Board of Northwest Community Bank. She previously served on the Farmington Food Pantry Board of Directors and is still an active volunteer. Joan also is a Past President of Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary. Joan continues to give back to her community by providing an educational course through the Farmington and Simsbury Continuing Education programs. Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement is a 4-session classroom instruction course on retirement planning for people ages 50-71.
