Farmington Continuing Education

Join Farmington Continuing Education for 6 moderately paced nature walks on wooded trails in Central and Northern CT.  Appreciate nature’s tranquility and subtle gifts while still getting some exercise with the Top 6 Best Nature Walks. Enjoy 2.5 mile, hour and a half, weekly easy walks on Tuesday mornings starting at 8:45am.

Any postponement due to weather will be communicated before the hike via email.  Good hiking boots and water are essential, and hiking poles are recommended!

List of Nature Walks

1. September 16th - Northwest Park in Windsor (145 Lang Road).
2. September 23rd - McLean Game Refuge in Granby (166 Salmon Brook Street/Route 10/Route 202).
3. September 30th - West Mountain in West Simsbury (60 Westledge Road).
4. October 7th - Tariffville Gorge in Tariffville (GPS 2 Tunix Road in Tarriffville and the trailhead is just up 189 North after the Farmington River Bridge at right shoulder parking).
5. October 14th - Penwood State Park in Bloomfield (560 Simsbury Road in Bloomfield).
6. October 21st - Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington (GPS 200 Colt Highway/Route 6 in Farmington).

All registrants MUST complete a Hiking Waiver BEFORE the start of the course. A link to the Hiking Waiver will be included in the "notes" of the registration confirmation, and can also be found HERE. Please download, complete, and either email (continuinged@fpsct.org) or mail (Farmington Continuing Education, 1 Depot Place, Unionville, CT 06085). Participation in the hikes will not be allowed unless a waiver is on file.
