Learn the art of embroidery with personalized instruction from Dawn, The Stitching Coach. Whatever name you use — needlepoint, cross stitch or embroidery — you will learn a variety of stitches that can use used anywhere decorative stitches would be welcome. In this introductory class, you make a needlecase filled with your personal touches and creativity. You will practice stitches that are fun, yet functional, learn how to assemble projects and how to use those stitches in other projects. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to make a variety of stitches, use those stitches and techniques to reflect individual style, understand how to apply knowledge and skills in other projects and more.
Embroidered Mushroom Pouch- Take your embroidery to the next level with a fun embroidered pouch. At the end of the 2-hour in-person lesson you will learn four different stitches and leave with a handy little pouch to carry small items. Kits will be provided, just bring your basic sewing supplies (small embroidery scissors, needle threader, embroidery needles and magnifier) with you.
Mini Hoop Embroidery- Enjoy a mini embroidery session with Dawn, The Stitching Coach. During this 2-hour program patrons will tackle three basic embroidery stitches - satin, lazy daisy and French knot. You will leave class with a bloom that will never wilt. Kits will be provided, bring your basic sewing supplies (small embroidery scissors, needle threader, embroidery needles, magnifier). Project based on “Doodle Stitching” by Aimee Ray.
