You have concurred casting on, knitting and binding off. Now you are ready to knit in circles and learn to shape your knitting with decreases. Let Dawn, The Stitching Coach guide you to knitting your first hat with a chunky yarn and needles that will work up fast and be easy on your hands. This adventurous beginner class requires students know how to cast on, knit and bind off.

Students should bring the following items:

Yarn Weight- Super Bulky (5-6 wpi)

Gauge- 9 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch

Yarn: One skein Super bulky #6 ready to knit with

Needle size: US 13 (9.0 mm)

Yardage: 60- 75 yards (55-69m)

Basic knit kit (darning needle, scissors, locking stitch markers, etc.)
