Relax on board the train as we watch the boats on the lake & enjoy the scenery as we travel roundtrip from Meredith, NH. We will make a NH Liquor Store stop prior to boarding the train. Hart’s Turkey Farm Dinner on board the Train. This is a Hart’s famous home style turkey dinner, just like grandma made at Thanksgiving. Menu: Turkey, Potato, Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls, Vegetable, & Dessert. YUM! Following our train ride visit Mills Falls Marketplace in the heart of Meredith. Enjoy the al fresco scenic walkways dotted with flowers and sculptures and discover a collection of unique shops and eateries.
Paddles on the Farmington Series with Main Stream Canoes & Kayaks
1. Intro to Paddling – West Hill Lake (Meet at West Hill Lake ) Difficulty: Beginner | All Ages Enjoy a calm, beginner-friendly paddle while learning basic techniques and water safety. Ideal for first-timers or anyone looking for a peaceful morning on one of Connecticut’s clearest lakes. 2. Lower Farmington River – Avon to Simsbury (Meet at Nod Brook Wildlife Management Area) Difficulty: Easy | Moving Water This gentle moving-water trip is perfect for families and new paddlers. Float through scenic stretches of the Farmington River surrounded by lush greenery and summer wildlife. 3. Mid-River Adventure – Pleasant Valley to New Hartford (Meet at Main Stream Canoes & Kayaks) Difficulty: Intermediate A step-up paddle with light current and small riffles—a great mix of relaxation and excitement. This scenic 6-mile stretch showcases the natural beauty and mild adventure of the Farmington River. 4. Fall Foliage Finale – West Hill Lake (Meet at West Hill Lake ) Difficulty: All Levels Celebrate the close of the season with a colorful fall paddle. Enjoy crisp air, vibrant foliage, and reflections of autumn leaves dancing on the water.

ASTRONOMY 101: Planetarium Experience

This is for stargazers and those who like to ponder the mysteries of the universe. Using the planetarium, this program for adults will present an introduction to planetary, stellar, and galactic astronomy as well as introduce a basic understanding of our night sky and the many celestial objects found within. On offer are four great informative, 2-hour long sessions on a variety of astronomy topics. All shows are on Thursdays from 7-9. Special Combination Deal - All 4 programs for $115.00. Aging in Place: How to Protect Assets and Stay at Home

Connecticut is one of the top 3 states with the highest nursing home and long-term care costs, making it essential to protect what you've worked hard for—ideally while staying in your own home. In this program, we will help you understand how to safeguard your assets and position yourself to age in place. You will learn about Medicaid and other state public benefits, as well as strategies for married and single individuals to protect their assets. All participants will receive an informational booklet on long-term care planning, crafted by our estate planning and elder law firm.

Previous punch cards purchased can be used. Three Options for Purchase... Course Fee - Select this if you want access to all the dates for this given season, no punch card needed. Senior Fee - Reduced rate for seniors who would like access to all the dates for this season, no punch card needed. Punch Card - Purchasing this option will get you a punch card that will allow you access to 10 or 20 sessions of Cardio Fitness across multiple seasons. Experience the magic! Come join us for an unforgettable evening at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, a cherished New York City holiday tradition. This iconic show, featuring the legendary Rockettes, promises an exceptional blend of fun and quality with nearly a century of performance excellence. Enjoy an enchanting 90-minute experience with over 140 performers, immersive visual effects, and an interactive display that includes drones, giant screens, and spectacular lighting. The performance also features a live orchestra, stunning costumes, and intricate set designs. Entrance to the Music Hall is through Ticketmaster (electronic tickets only). The group will enter the Music Hall together and the group leader will scan everyone in. Bus will depart at the conclusion of the show. Trip includes motorcoach, orchestra seating for the 2 PM show, Trip Leader, and free time before the show for sightseeing, and shopping on your own. A note on bus seating - Farmington passengers will be seated on the side of the bus opposite of the driver.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have learned about state and federal boating laws and guidelines. They will have earned a CT Safe Boating Certificate (often referred to as the "Boater's License"). The State Certified instructor will guide you through the download process which includes a one-time additional payment due to the State of Connecticut of $50.00 per certificate. You are then certified for life. Connecticut's Safe Boating Certificate has reciprocal value throughout the entire United States and its Territories.
