In this hands-on camp, students entering grades 5 through 8 will explore engineering and innovation in a week-long camp. They will work together to build a robot to accomplish various missions while developing coding and practical engineering skills. This camp will follow the missions of this past season of FLL Challenge Unearthed, preparing students for the FLL Challenge competition should they wish to participate in the fall of the upcoming school year. Under the instruction of the Farmington Robotics Enforcers, students will work together to solve fun engineering challenges and build models using LEGO® bricks, gaining confidence and teambuilding skills along the way. Students entering grades 5-8 Students focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Module. Students should bring their school/personal Chromebook or laptop to class each day, if possible, along with a healthy snack and a water bottle. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations with a refund will be allowed up to June 15th less a $35 fee. There are NO cancellations / refunds after June 14! All supplies are included.
