Relax on board the train as we watch the boats on the lake & enjoy the scenery as we travel roundtrip from Meredith, NH. We will make a NH Liquor Store stop prior to boarding the train. Hart’s Turkey Farm Dinner on board the Train. This is a Hart’s famous home style turkey dinner, just like grandma made at Thanksgiving. Menu: Turkey, Potato, Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls, Vegetable, & Dessert. YUM! Following our train ride visit Mills Falls Marketplace in the heart of Meredith. Enjoy the al fresco scenic walkways dotted with flowers and sculptures and discover a collection of unique shops and eateries.
Crochet Camp 6/23-6/25 9am-11am
Crochet for Beginners: Grades 3 & 4 Get ready to stitch, loop, and create! This hands-on class teaches the basics of crocheting through fun, small-scale projects like bookmarks. Duration: Five weekly one-hour sessions. What you'll learn: Simple stitches, pattern reading basics, and project completion. What’s included: A starter crochet kit and all the yarn needed to succeed. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity!

Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People

In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do-using chords. The chord method is LOTS of fun and dramatically easier to learn than reading notes. Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture demonstration. Course fee includes Chords are Key for Piano book and videos (electronic copy). Students should have a keyboard or piano available. Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.

How to Play Piano by Ear
Music, Dance & Drama
Learn one of music’s deepest mysteries: how to play songs without relying on music. A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language. This is an ideal follow-up to the “Instant Piano” class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument. Expand your musical horizons, and free yourself from sheet-music dependence, and be the life of the party! Prior experience with chords recommended. Fee includes the online book, online follow-up lessons, a recording of the class and an optional monthly question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom. Topics include: How to find the starting note How to determine when chords change How to predict the chord progression How chords help you find the correct melody How the melody helps you find the correct chords How to learn songs from recordings How to transpose The Universal Key Signature How to use the Circle of Fifths How to recognize the most common chord patterns Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email from Farmington Continuing Education containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Fee includes the online book, online recorded follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also access to optional live periodic question and answer sessions at no additional cost. Class is online using zoom and is partly hands on and partly lecture/demonstration. For ages 13+. Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.

Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture/demonstration. For ages 13+. Students will need to have their acoustic guitar on hand. Course fee includes Chords are Key for Guitar book and videos (electronic copy). Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.
