FOOD Explorers No Bake Taster (Gr. 2-4)
This course is perfect for that student who is interested in cooking and wants to learn some of the basics. Join Food Explorers for a deliciously seasonal fall dessert class! You’ll be making Sweet Potato Pies with a homemade Marshmallow Whipped Cream! You’ll be making your own graham cracker crust, filling and whipped cream from scratch in this hands on cooking class. Recipe is nut free but will contain dairy, eggs and gluten. The course fee includes the cost of ingredients and supplies.PLEASE NOTE:This Course is for Farmington Public Schools students who are enrolled at West District, Union School, East Farms, and Noah Wallace. You must register at the school that your child attends and where it is offered. Each school's offered classes varies.*** PLEASE NOTE OUR YOUTH DISMISSAL AND PICK-UP POLICY***On the day of the course be sure to inform your child's school office, using their prescribed dismissal change policy, that your child will be attending EXCL for the enrichment course you have signed up for. Refunds will not be provided for missed classes. At the end of the school day when dismissed, students who are attending will be sent to EXCL where they will be supervised until the start of the course, and be offered an afternoon snack. When the course starts, they will be brought to the course classroom by the instructor. Parents are not to bring their children to the school to attend this course, students are only to be dismissed directly from school.Parents should be prompt to pick up at the course dismissal time as charges will accrue if parents are late. Dismissal will occur at the entrance of the building and will be facilitated by the school security guard and instructor. Parents will not be permitted into the building and it is advised that parents stay in their cars until the dismissal time, or until the instructor is visible at the front door. Each parent will need to sign their child out and must have a valid I.D. ready. The I.D. must match that of the parent/guardian who signed up the child or by an authorized pick-up. To authorize an additional pick-up, please call 860-404-0290 Ext. 7070.Students who are attending EXCL on the day of the course will be dismissed back to EXCL.

Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes
Day Trips & Tours
Experience the magic! Come join us for an unforgettable evening at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, a cherished New York City holiday tradition. This iconic show, featuring the legendary Rockettes, promises an exceptional blend of fun and quality with nearly a century of performance excellence. Enjoy an enchanting 90-minute experience with over 140 performers, immersive visual effects, and an interactive display that includes drones, giant screens, and spectacular lighting. The performance also features a live orchestra, stunning costumes, and intricate set designs. Entrance to the Music Hall is through Ticketmaster (electronic tickets only). The group will enter the Music Hall together and the group leader will scan everyone in. Bus will depart at 4 PM at the conclusion of the show. Trip includes motorcoach, orchestra seating for the 2 PM show, Trip Leader, and free time before the show for sightseeing, and shopping on your own. A note on bus seating - Farmington passengers will be seated on the side of the bus opposite of the driver.

Christmas in Newport

The Breakers is the grandest of Newport’s ‘cottages’ and is the sumptuous mansion of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt. Upon arrival everyone receives an audio guide so you can walk through at your leisure listening to the story of the mansion. Enjoy magnificently decorated rooms, poinsettias, charming ornaments, trees and wreaths. Our lunch will be at Johnny’s Restaurant at the Wyndham, a beautiful new hotel on the water in Middletown, RI. Menu: Salad, Vegetable, Potato, Dessert, Iced Tea or Coffee. Choice of entrée in advance: Chicken Piccata or Baked Stuffed Scrod with Seafood Stuffing and Newburgh Sauce or Pasta Primavera. Following lunch we will visit Marble House, the magnificent mansion of William Vanderbilt, complete with exquisite marble Corinthian columns, inspired by Versailles. Holiday decorations fill the mansion with additional beauty on this exceptional tour. Audio guide is included.

Bribery, deception and disguise: The Barber of Seville tells the story of two young lovers and their quest to be together. Main character Figaro needs all his wiles to help the Count outwit Dr. Bartolo and ensure true love wins the day. With memorable arias, captivating music and a delightful blend of humor and romance, The Barber of Seville is easily one of composer Rossini’s most popular works.Balcony Prime Seating ~ 1:00pm Performance. Show runs about 3 hours. Time in Lincoln Centerprior to the Opera to grab a bite to eat.
