The rules for Social Security change often so what you thought you knew may be different now! When should you take your Social Security? How do you apply? What impact does your spouse's Social Security have on what you collect? This course covers not only the basics of Social Security but also reveals strategies for maximizing your benefits. We will discuss how to minimize taxes on Social Security benefits and how to coordinate your Social Security with your other sources of retirement income. We welcome your questions about Social Security benefits as you explore your options in making this financial decision.

Instructor

Albert D'Agosto, a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) is co-founder and Lead Portfolio Manager of Retirement & Money Strategies. Al began his career in the financial services industry with Monarch Capital in 1987 and, in 1991, moved to the Phoenix Companies where he practiced insurance risk management, portfolio analysis and subsequently assumed the role of a registered principal in the Hartford office. In 2004 he joined Equity Services and in 2011 co-founded Retirement & Money Strategies. His more than a quarter-century of experience providing management and financial planning services with a single-minded commitment to client advocacy enables him to provide the appropriate guidance his clients require to navigate through their life cycle of wealth. Al lives with his wife, Louise, in Simsbury. Their daughter Elisabeth completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin and joined the staff of Mountain View Veterinary Clinic in West Virginia.

Instructor

Charles Yannich is the co-founder of Retirement & Money Strategies. He specializes in retirement income planning including Social Security benefit coordination, tax considerations, and asset protection strategies. Charles was Executive Vice President of an independent telephone company and started his career in financial services with American Express Financial Advisors in 2000. He moved on to join Equity Services in 2002, and, in 2011, co-founded Retirement & Money Strategies.
