This course provides critical guidance for anyone interested in taking an extended backpacking trip. The instructor is anxious to share his own experience with long distance treks to supplement guidance provided by various hiking organizations. Topics will include planning, physical conditioning, gear considerations, health & safety, and many other topics that relate to long treks. This information will allow hikers to experience a safe, fun and satisfying trek.
