Basic Beekeeping: Information and Equipment Needed to Start a Beekeeping Career

Are you interested in learning more about beekeeping? Then this course is for you! Learn about honey bee biology, how to install a package of bees and witness their progress, as well as information about bee diseases. There will be a live demonstration of the proper way to install a package into the hive on Saturday, November 2 and 9 at the instructor's bee yard located at 356 Carmel Hill Road North, Bethlehem, CT.

Alphonse is a professor in the biology department at the University of Connecticut and co-author of the “Bee Keepers Handbook.”
