Join Molly Pritchard, West District's Library Media Specialist, and Nicole Bastianne-Fritch, West Districts Art educator, for FCE's first program on video production! After a brief introduction, students will storyboard, plan, shoot and edit footage, and then showcase their finalized work to their peers.
In today's digital age, proficiency in multimedia creation is a crucial skill for students. Video production not only enhances creativity but also fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.
The objectives of this course are to; Introduce students to the basics of video production including planning, filming, editing, and publishing; foster creativity and self-expression through storytelling via video; develop digital literacy skills such as media literacy and digital citizenship; promote collaboration and communication through group projects; and align the learning with currently used education standards.
The program is offered in the mornings, before school. Parents will need to drop off their children at the front entrance at the start time of the program and sign in.
Please note this course is offered before school and ONLY to students who attend the school where it is offered.
