Acquire cultural knowledge of Italy while learning to speak and write and articulate everyday habits and circumstances in the present tense. Throughout the course, through the writing of short compositions that are an integral part of each lesson, you will sharpen your writing skills. In addition, learn to read and understand cultural material. Through a combination of presentations, group work, and guided interaction, improve your Italian proficiency and gain cultural awareness. At the end of the course, you will be able to function in an authentic Italian environment through understanding and participating in basic everyday conversations on topics ranging from introduction, directions, and dining out.

Adult Tap offers the opportunity to exercise in a unique and fun way. Start with a gentle stretch, learn or review a tap step, work on techniques, and finish with a short tap combination. If you are completely new to tap dance, please sign up for our Introduction to Tap courses. Wear comfortable clothing and do not forget your tap shoes! Don't have tap shoes but want to experience the course? We may have a gently used pair that you can borrow or purchase.

A fun opportunity to create works of art using a variety of art media. Students will spend each art class exploring painting, drawing, and more! Each student will have beautiful and exciting pieces to take home at the end of the session. The course fee includes the cost of the supplies. This course has four sections, one for each grade. Please view the dates and register for the correct section according to grade. PLEASE NOTE: This Course is for enrolled students at East Farms Elementary School only. *** PLEASE NOTE OUR YOUTH DISMISSAL AND PICK-UP POLICY*** On the day of the course be sure to inform your child's school office, using their prescribed dismissal change policy, that your child will be attending EXCL for the enrichment course you have signed up for. Refunds will not be provided for missed classes. At the end of the school day when dismissed, students who are attending will be sent to EXCL. When the course starts, they will be brought to the course classroom by the instructor. Parents are not to bring their children to the school to attend this course, students are only to be dismissed directly from school. Parents should be prompt to pick up at the course dismissal time as charges will accrue if parents are late. Dismissal will occur at the entrance of the building and will be facilitated by the school security guard and instructor. Parents will not be permitted into the building and it is advised that parents stay in their cars until the dismissal time, or until the instructor is visible at the front door. Each parent will need to sign their child out and must have a valid I.D. ready. The I.D. must match that of the parent/guardian who signed up the child or by an authorized pick-up. To authorize an additional pick-up, please call 860-404-0290 Ext. 7070. Students who are attending EXCL on the day of the course will be dismissed back to EXCL.

A friendly exercise program that combines low-impact aerobics with stretching, strength training, and routines to improve flexibility, muscular strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Previous punch cards purchased can be used. Three Options for Purchase... Course Fee - Select this if you want access to all the dates for this given season, no punch card needed. Senior Fee - Reduced rate for seniors who would like access to all the dates for this season, no punch card needed. Punch Card - Purchasing this option will get you a punch card that will allow you access to 20 sessions of Cardio Fitness across multiple seasons. If you currently have a punch card with punches left, choose this option and enter in the promo code to remove the charge at checkout. In Union School's Chinese Language, Culture, and Music Club, students will learn to: Speak words and phrases in Mandarin Chinese Sing songs in Mandarin Chinese Retell Chinese culture, like the many legends associated with the Lunar New Year Wrap and eat dumplings Share their learning with special performance and through teaching opportunities The course fee includes the cost of the supplies. This iconic show, featuring the legendary Rockettes, promises an exceptional blend of fun and quality with nearly a century of performance excellence. Enjoy an enchanting 90-minute experience with over 140 performers, immersive visual effects, and an interactive display that includes drones, giant screens, and spectacular lighting. The performance also features a live orchestra, stunning costumes, and intricate set designs. Entrance to the Music Hall is through Ticketmaster (electronic tickets only). The group will enter the Music Hall together and the group leader will scan everyone in. Bus will depart at 4 PM at the conclusion of the show. Trip includes motorcoach, orchestra seating for the 2 PM show, Trip Leader, and free time before the show for sightseeing, and shopping on your own. A note on bus seating - Farmington passengers will be seated on the side of the bus opposite of the driver.

Come learn how to create beautiful Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing! You will learn and practice how to outline and flood cookies with icing. You will also learn different techniques to enhance the cookies, such as wet on wet, transfers and texture to name a few. This course is perfect for that student who is interested in cooking and wants to learn some of the basics. Join Food Explorers for a deliciously seasonal fall dessert class! You’ll be making Sweet Potato Pies with a homemade Marshmallow Whipped Cream! You’ll be making your own graham cracker crust, filling and whipped cream from scratch in this hands on cooking class. Recipe is nut free but will contain dairy, eggs and gluten. The course fee includes the cost of ingredients and supplies. PLEASE NOTE: This Course is for Farmington Public Schools students who are enrolled at West District, Union School, East Farms, and Noah Wallace. You must register at the school that your child attends and where it is offered.
