Enjoy 5 mile, 3 hour, weekly intermediate level hikes on Thursdays at 8:45am. Hiking shoes with vibram soles, water bottle, and hiking poles are recommended. Monthly hike details and schedule, GPS addresses, and trail maps are emailed. Custom hikes for all ability levels are available upon request. Purchase a Hiking Club Punch Card (good for 10 hikes) to pay as you go! Once purchased, Punch Cards will be mailed to registrants. Top Ten Best Hikes: Bear Mountain/Sages Ravine - Appalachian Trail, Salisbury Ragged Mountain - New England National Scenic Trail, Berlin Talcott Mountain State Park - New England National Scenic Trail, Simsbury Penwood State Park - New England National Scenic Trail, Simsbury West Mountain Trails - Red/Blue Trails, West Simsbury Peoples State Forest - Agnes Bowen/Robert Ross/Jessie Gerald Trails, Barkhamsted Tunix State Forest - Indian Council Caves Trail, Barkhamsted Rattlesnake Mountain - New England National Scenic Trail, Farmington Tariffville Gorge - New England National Scenic Trail, Tariffville Peak/Copper Mountain - New England National Scenic Trail, East Granby Hikes are offered weekly throughout the year on Thursdays.
