FIRST® LEGO® League Summer Program (Gr. 1-4)
Lights, camera, STEAM! Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) inspire big ideas, bold action – and creativity. Our skills make it possible to create art and experiences that bring us together, entertain us, and move us. During this session, FIRST® IN SHOW presented by Qualcomm, we will celebrate the roles our STEM skills play in the arts, design, and building of a world of endless possibilities. The future is yours to create. Under the instruction of the Farmington Robotics Enforcers, students will work together to solve fun engineering challenges and build models using LEGO® bricks, gaining confidence, and teambuilding skills along the way. 1 PM - 4 PM Students in grades 1-4 Students focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0. Students should bring their school/personal Chromebook or laptop to class each day, if possible, along with a healthy snack and a water bottle! Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations with a refund will be allowed up to July 22th less a $35 fee. There are NO cancellations / refunds after July 22!All supplies are included.REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JULY 21st

Civics - FOR CREDIT (Gr. 11-12)
The purpose of this course is to provide an intensive study of government, law, and citizenship. Successful completion fulfills the social studies graduation requirement in Civics. Enrollment is on a space-available basis.The class will be taught remotely. Login instructions will be emailed to registrants before the start of class. This course is open to FARMINGTON High School students entering grades 11-12 ONLY.

Theatre Academy (Gr. 3 -12)
Youth Enrichment
Beginning with an audition workshop, students will hone their audition skills to try out for roles in Disney's Newsies Jr. Each day, students will participate in rehearsals including music, choreography, improv and drama games, backstage production, and most importantly -- FUN! The FINAL performance will take place on Friday, June 28 in the Irving Robbins Middle School Auditorium. Opportunity for rising (7-12) graders: Students with a serious interest in the "behind-the-scenes" portion of theatre will work with mentors in the areas of stage management, directing, costumes, props, and set design. These students will not perform in the play but instead will be working backstage as part of the production. Students should bring a healthy snack, a healthy lunch, and a water bottle daily. Daily Schedule: 9:00-9:05 Morning Meeting 9:05-9:50 Workshop Rotation 9:50-10:35 Workshop Rotation 10:35-10:50 Snack and Bathroom Break 10:55-11:35 Workshop Rotation 11:35-12:20 Workshop Rotation 12:20-1:00 Lunch/Recess 1:00-1:55 Full Cast Rehearsal 1:55-2:00 End of Day Check-in and Notes NOTES: Registration deadline: June 9, 2024 Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with a refund will be allowed up to June 10 with a $35 fee.
