Intermediate French II


Adult Enrichment / Language -
Winter / Spring 2024

This course is for students who have completed the Intermediate French I Course of 3 years of high school French. Students will be able to talk about advanced topics of their choosing as well as explore the Art of Conversation in French. Students will be able to use strategies to sustain conversations, ask for and receive information and express opinions about current events, films, and Podcasts (and/or news programs). No textbook is required.

Instructor

Tom has been teaching French and Spanish in Farmington since 1997. He began teaching at Irving Robbins Middle School. For the past 21 years, Tom has been at Farmington High School.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in International Management from Central Connecticut State University and obtained a Master of Arts degree in French from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT. Tom completed his sixth year in Spanish at Central Connecticut State University.

Tom has had the opportunity to study and travel to France, Spain, Trinidad, Montreal, and Quebec. He currently lives in Marlborough, CT with his wife and chocolate lab, Huey. He has a daughter, Shannon, who lives in Wethersfield. Tom enjoys traveling biking and hiking. His favorite place in the United States is Acadia National Park.
