BollyX: Dance Fitness
BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. Its 45 minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and smiling. At the very core of a BollyX workout is the inspiration it draws from the music and dance of Bollywood, the film industry of India. BollyX embodies the infectious energy, expression and movement of Bollywood and aim to expand the reach of fitness to more people worldwide. The fitness curriculum has been created by world-class choreographers and certified fitness professionals to ensure a safe and effective total body dance workout for all. No prior dance experience is needed. All you need to bring is water and your biggest smile. You’re in for a sweaty treat.

BOATING, PERSONAL WATERCRAFT, and WATER SKI SAFETY CERTIFICATE CLASS This all-inclusive course allows you to legally operate a boat, personal watercraft, and includes the modern water ski towing endorsement. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have learned about state and federal boating laws and guidelines. They will have earned a CT Safe Boating Certificate (often referred to as the "Boater's License"). The State Certified instructor will guide you through the download process which includes a one-time additional payment due to the State of Connecticut of $50.00 per certificate. You are then certified for life. Connecticut's Safe Boating Certificate has reciprocal value throughout the entire United States and its Territories. You will use light weights, bands and your own body weight to improve strength, flexibility, balance and stamina to sculpt and tone. Bring a yoga mat, water, and light weights. Crochet for Beginners: Grades 3 & 4 Get ready to stitch, loop, and create! This hands-on class teaches the basics of crocheting through fun, small-scale projects like bookmarks. Duration: Five weekly one-hour sessions. What you'll learn: Simple stitches, pattern reading basics, and project completion. What’s included: A starter crochet kit and all the yarn needed to succeed. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity!

Come learn how to create beautiful sugar cookies with Royal Icing. You will learn and practice how to outline and flood cookies with icing. You will also learn different techniques to enhance the cookies. You will leave each session with beautifully decorated cookies to share with friends and families. Due to the popular demand of these courses, Deborah Butler, our instructor has opened up an "Advanced Courses" series, which highlight more complex techniques. "Grab your gear, pack your magnifying glass, rope, and pickaxe - the adventure begins! In this season of FIRST® LEGO® League UNEARTHED™, you and your team will follow the traces of the past: uncover hidden treasures, mysterious artifacts, and forgotten stories. But your mission doesn't end with the discovery, that's just the beginning!" Under the instruction of the Farmington Robotics Enforcers, students will work together to solve fun engineering challenges and build models using LEGO® bricks, gaining confidence, and teambuilding skills along the way. Students in grades 1-4 Students focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Module. Students should bring their school/personal Chromebook or laptop to class each day, if possible, along with a healthy snack and a water bottle! Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations with a refund will be allowed up to June 15th less a $35 fee. There are NO cancellations / refunds after June 15! All supplies are included. In this hands-on camp, students entering grades 5 through 8 will explore engineering and innovation in a week-long camp. They will work together to build a robot to accomplish various missions while developing coding and practical engineering skills. This camp will follow the missions of this past season of FLL Challenge Unearthed, preparing students for the FLL Challenge competition should they wish to participate in the fall of the upcoming school year. Savor authentic Italian specialties through tasting sessions and gain exclusive insights from a seasoned butcher on selecting and preparing the finest Italian cuts of meat. Next we'll visit Peppercorn’s Grill for an exciting cooking demo with the talented Dino Cialffi, culminating in a memorable sit-down lunch that promises to delight your palate and deepen your appreciation for Italian cuisine! Farmington Summer Strings Academy (Entering Gr. 3 -10)

The Farmington Public Schools Orchestra Teachers and members of the Hartford Symphony invite you to join them for 3 weeks of intensive music-making and fun! Daily classes include mini-lessons on your stringed instrument, note-reading and group class, orchestra, movement, and visual arts. Advanced players may also have chamber music opportunities. The Farmington Strings Academy is designed for students with at least one year of instruction on the violin, viola, cello, or string bass - no beginners, please! Students should bring their instruments, music books, a healthy snack, and a water bottle.
