A friendly exercise program that combines low-impact aerobics with stretching, strength training, and routines to improve flexibility, muscular strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Previous punch cards purchased can be used. Transition for Success (students entering Gr. 9)
FHS Credit Recovery & For Credit Courses
The purpose of the Transition for Success course is to assist students entering 9th grade in developing the tools necessary for positive academic, behavioral, and social/emotional success at Farmington High School. Students will engage in activities to jump-start their freshman year. They will learn about motivation and growth mindset, and they will set goals and organize themselves for a successful launch into 9th grade. Students will receive personalized instruction on the support available to them as students at FHS, including training on using the technologies utilized by FHS faculty and staff as tools for learning. Enrollment is on a space-available basis and open to any incoming FARMINGTON High School students entering grade 9 ONLY and will meet in-person at FHS.

"Trimming the Excess" is a self empowerment course designed to help individuals cultivate healthy eating patterns and eliminate bad ones. Using self-hypnosis techniques, attendees will begin to shift their mindset to one focused on health and wellbeing. Some topics included are belief systems, emotional eating, stress reduction and much more!

Enjoy a nostalgic train ride along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. It's a great fall day trip! Relax on board the train as we watch the boats on the lake & enjoy the scenery as we travel roundtrip from Meredith, NH. We will make a NH Liquor Store stop prior to boarding the train. Hart’s Turkey Farm Dinner on board the Train. This is a Hart’s famous home style turkey dinner, just like grandma made at Thanksgiving. In what could be the most enlightening webinar you’ve ever taken, our instructor and professional voice coach will show you how you can actually begin using your speaking voice for commercials, films, videos, and more. Most people go about it the wrong way. In this introductory class, you will learn about a unique, outside the box way to break into this creative, fulfilling, and potentially lucrative industry. Voice-overs can be managed on your own terms, on your own turf, in your own time, and with minimal overhead! Whether you choose to pursue voice-overs part-time or full-time, this could be the game changer you’ve been looking for. In addition to online instruction, you will be given the opportunity to book a 1-on-1 script read and voice evaluation via telephone with your instructor for the following day. We will also discuss the benefits of trusts including how they can be used to minimize or avoid taxes, safeguard assets from potential ex-spouses and creditors, preserve public benefits for loved ones, support beneficiaries with a disability or special needs, and if you can actually avoid probate. Whether you're new to trusts or have some understanding of them, our goal is to ensure you leave with a comprehensive understanding of how these valuable planning tools can work to your advantage. Following the class, every participant will receive an informational booklet about trusts crafted by our estate planning and elder law firm.

When I Am In Charge (Ages 8+)

This course, taught by an American Red Cross instructor, is for boys and girls who are home alone. The course will cover all the safety concerns parents have when their children are by themselves, such as arriving home, responsibilities, phone and internet safety, fire safety, and much more! Students will receive an information packet to take home. No snacks or food are to be brought to the class.
