Farmington Public Schools art educators invite you to join them for one week of intensive art-making and fun! 

Join Farmington Continuing Education's first summer art academy at West Woods School in Farmington.  Taught by Farmington Public Schools professional educators, this class will have students working in a variety of media and subject matter.  Printmaking, weaving, floral painting, watercolor, collage, installation art and more will be covered in this week long course.  

Students should wear appropriate clothing, and bring waterbottle and lunch daily.


  • Registration deadline: July 22
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with a refund will be allowed up to July 15 less a $35 fee. There are NO cancellations / refunds after July 15.

Katarina McKinney


Katarina McKinney is a Fine Arts and Fashion Design Teacher at Farmington High School. She has been teaching at Farmington Public Schools for ten years mostly at the high school level. Mrs.McKinney has a B.F.A from Arizona State University, and an M.A. in Art Education from Boston University. She is originally from Slovakia, former Czechoslovakia.

Beth Reiser


Beth Reiser is currently a Farmington High School Fine Art educator who teaches Ceramics, Installation Art, and Advanced Portfolio. Before teaching at FHS, she taught Art at the elementary level for a few years including two years at Noah Wallace. She has earned a BFA from the University of Connecticut and an MFA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, both in printmaking. Her favorite mediums include woodcuts, sculpture, and jewelry making.
