Take a Ride on the Turkey Train
Relax on board the train as we watch the boats on the lake & enjoy the scenery as we travel roundtrip from Meredith, NH. We will make a NH Liquor Store stop prior to boarding the train. Hart’s Turkey Farm Dinner on board the Train. This is a Hart’s famous home style turkey dinner, just like grandma made at Thanksgiving. Menu: Turkey, Potato, Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls, Vegetable, & Dessert. YUM! Following our train ride visit Mills Falls Marketplace in the heart of Meredith. Enjoy the al fresco scenic walkways dotted with flowers and sculptures and discover a collection of unique shops and eateries.

Short on time? This workout is for you. Backed by research that shows short bouts of intense exercise can be as effective as longer more moderate workouts, this class makes it easy to fit exercise in your schedule. This class will have a short warm up and cool down, and in-between we will be working intensely with fun, full body moves. Modifications will be given so that you can work at the right pace for you. Plan to leave feeling energized. Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email from Farmington Continuing Education containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course. All participants will need to fill out a new waiver annually. If you have not already filled out a 2026 waiver, please use the following link to sign it online. Beginner Tap offers the opportunity to exercise in the unique and fun way. We will start with a gentle stretch and then work on a different tap combination each week. If you are completely new to tap dancing, please sign up for our Introduction to Tap course. Any form of dance is healthy for the mind and body. It gets our bodies moving and boosts our brainpower. Participating in a dance class is also great for socialization. Wear comfortable clothing and do not forget your tap shoes! Don’t have tap shoes but want to experience the course? Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
Personal Enrichment
Taught using American Red Cross standards, this Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course features extensive hands-on practice designed to sharpen your skills across a wide range of real-world scenarios. You’ll work through both individual and team-based exercises, with guidance provided throughout. You will come away equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest, choking, severe bleeding, and other critical situations for adults, children and infants. As your confidence grows, so will the complexity — each challenge building on the last to prepare you for real emergencies. Course Objectives: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Usage First Aid Response Choking Relief Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an American Red Cross Certification, valid for two years, demonstrating their competency and readiness to handle emergency situations with confidence. Please bring an ID to class and wear comfortable clothing and footwear as you will be performing CPR and first aid techniques on the floor. Accommodations for those who cannot perform techniques on the floor will be allowed to perform them on a table. All class material is provided.

The objectives of this course are for you to be able to say that I can: Communicate on more advanced topics in a variety of tenses. Aging in Place: How to Protect Assets and Stay at Home

Connecticut is one of the top 3 states with the highest nursing home and long-term care costs, making it essential to protect what you've worked hard for—ideally while staying in your own home. In this program, we will help you understand how to safeguard your assets and position yourself to age in place. You will learn about Medicaid and other state public benefits, as well as strategies for married and single individuals to protect their assets. All participants will receive an informational booklet on long-term care planning, crafted by our estate planning and elder law firm.

Babysitter CPR and Beyond! (Ages 11-15)
Babysitting & Child Safety
Learn essential skills to handle medical emergencies with confidence. Topics include infant and child CPR, basic first aid, and assessing situations before calling 911. This course prepares youth to respond quickly and safely in critical moments. Prerequisite: Students should either be certified babysitters or have taken the Babysitting Basics course. The course fee includes an American Red Cross babysitter training book and a certificate that is mailed out within a month of successful completion of the course (student attendance is mandatory to receive a certificate). No snacks or food is to be brought to the class.

Cover essential skills such as supervising children, accident prevention, first aid, caring for infants, and handling emergencies. Build on your foundational ballet skills in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. Each week features beginner-level exercises at the barre and in the center of the room. Prior completion of Amy’s Introduction to Ballet is required. Wear comfortable clothing; ballet shoes are recommended, though socks are fine. Beginner Jazz Dance

From Liz Minnelli to Lady Gaga, from the Broadway boards to halftime at the Super Bowl, jazz dance steps sashay their way into all kinds of choreography. Jazz dance is exuberant, expressive and excellent exercise for both the body and the brain. In this class, you'll learn the basics of jazz dancing with FCE veteran dance and wellness instructor Amy Perales in a fun and non-judgemental atmosphere. We will learn basic jazz dance terminology and steps, putting those to music and building a routine from week to week. Wear clothes that you can move comfortably in. Jazz dance shoes are not necessary, but are recommended for a more authentic experience.

Whimsical Felted Mushroom Cottage: Create an enchanting wool mushroom inspired by woodland fairy tales. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the basics of needle felting while crafting a charming autumn decoration to display throughout the season. Harvest Pumpkin in Wool: Celebrate the beauty of fall by creating a handcrafted felted pumpkin. Learn shaping, layering, and finishing techniques as you transform colorful wool into a festive autumn keepsake perfect for home décor or gifting. Winter Gnome Workshop: Create a cozy felted gnome ready for the holiday season. Learn techniques for shaping, assembling, and adding character as you make a festive winter decoration that will bring warmth and whimsy to your home. Course fee includes cost of supplies (needles, felting pads, and safety finger guards). Students bringing their own supplies pay a reduced rate.

Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes

Experience the magic! Come join us for an unforgettable evening at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, a cherished New York City holiday tradition. This iconic show, featuring the legendary Rockettes, promises an exceptional blend of fun and quality with nearly a century of performance excellence. Connecticut Boating Certificate

BOATING, PERSONAL WATERCRAFT, and WATER SKI SAFETY CERTIFICATE CLASS This all-inclusive course allows you to legally operate a boat, personal watercraft, and includes the modern water ski towing endorsement. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have learned about state and federal boating laws and guidelines. They will have earned a CT Safe Boating Certificate (often referred to as the "Boater's License"). The State Certified instructor will guide you through the download process which includes a one-time additional payment due to the State of Connecticut of $50.00 per certificate. You are then certified for life. Connecticut's Safe Boating Certificate has reciprocal value throughout the entire United States and its Territories.
